Got to talk to a cool company called Space Beyond that is working to send the ashes of 1000 people into space for 5 years. Celeste has been doing this for years so it's not an entirely novel concept, but Ryan, the owner, has taken a slightly different approach by only sending in 1 gram capsules of ash vs the much larger amounts Celeste accepts.
As sending anything into space is still quite expensive, this means what might have before been a multi-thousand dollar experience can now be priced at $279 which, while still money, is an order of magnitude less than before.
