If you are utilizing a Post Office box with a street address, please use the USPS shipping method and Fedex/UPS may not deliver to post office boxes.
Please note that we ship with signature delivery. If you miss the delivery, you have 7 days to arrange pick-up. If the package is returned to the artist due to address issues or non-pickup, the customer is responsible for re-shipment costs.

Please note that we often don't use the entire amount of submitted cremains. In most cases, we request more ash than what is necessary in order to ensure we have enough to make the item. When shipped, the cremains become aerated from being shaken throughout the shipping process. As such, they may appear at or slightly above the line marked on the collection kit's vial. This is normal, and the cremains will look less voluminous once settled.
Prices raised April 1st 2025 to account for USPS increased code in shipping cremation ash.

I didn't like the fact that you had to order this separate and it didn't automatically come with the purchase like who wouldn't want their loved ones ashes back that was mind-boggling to me

Regarding sending back the ashes - there are different regulations for mailing loose ashes vs ashes that are permanently sealed in glass/resin - plus, we like to ensure your order arrives safely and without issue prior to returning ashes. We mention our policy regarding returning ash in our FAQ, Help Desk, and on the Extra Cremains Form included with your collection kit.

After creating my necklace, there was left ashes over for me to add back into my mother’s urn.
The extra ashes from when the spirit piece was made were returned safely and with care.

I’m regularly getting requests to rate this, but it’s been several weeks and I still haven’t received the return kit yet

The artist did not return my remains. I pre-purchased the return kit but the artist sent a note saying the remains would be scattered. I had contact spirit to fix this, and fortunately the remains had not been scattered yet. I will never afain order a piece that requires remains to be sent in.

It is normal for artists to mark that there are ashes remaining on the Thank You Card as there are only 2 options (extra ashes or none). We hold kits for about 1 week to ensure the order arrives safely/without issue before returning the remaining ashes. If the artist marked no ashes remaining and then returned them, it may cause further confusion. We do show your kit return shipped exactly 1 week after your order was shipped.
The kit was fine and easy to use but the information on how to send it back took more time to deal with. The info on the website was different than the info that came with the kit. I think the instructions/listings of how to send it back could be easier to understand and work with.

I received my dog's remains quickly after being notified they were shipped. They were carefully sealed in a container.
My only feedback would be having it notated somewhere very obvious that the cremains don’t get returned immediately with the purchase. I panicked when they weren’t with the order. However, customer service was very responsive to let me know what was going on.

You could improve by NOT keeping the remaining cremains and then charging an extortionate $15+ to ship them back. You should have shipped them back with the glass pieces. This policy should have been stated CLEARLY. Shame on you!
