I was walking around my complex in South Austin this afternoon and saw these lovely clusters of purple flowers enjoying the sun. I happened to have a Red and Green rope orb nearby in my car and took some pictures with the purple flowers as a background. It was very sunny so the flowers came out a bit stark but still pretty enough.
Interesting thing; I moved down from the Northeast about 2 years ago to Texas and up there I don't recall seeing any purple flowers other than Lilacs; here, they're everywhere!
