This lovely beach themed mixed material resin portrait is made by Kori using layering techniques of resin, beach sand, shells and cremains.  The cremains are safely encased in a color fast layer of hard resin. Ashes are mixed into water layer.

This is such an incredible work of art made all the more special knowing that a part of our fur baby is included in the piece. Our girl loved the beach and as soon as we saw this we knew it was meant to be. There was some effort in getting the ashes to the artist, but everything is described in incredible detail, so there were no issues. Ongoing communication from the Spirit Pieces team was exceptional and the artist was very thoughtful in sending a very nice note with the artwork. We just love looking at this work of art and even replicated the initials in our local beach sand, scattering some ashes and taking a picture as the ocean swept them away. We added that picture alongside our artwork. We would absolutely order from Spirit Pieces again. Excellent experience!!

I absolutely love the piece. My mother LOVED the beach. She had the glass blown shell made with my dad’s ashes after he passed, and I wanted something made with Mom’s ashes after she passed to go with it. When I saw this piece, I knew this was the piece to be made. It turned out so beautiful, and I love how it looks with Dad’s glass shell. I will be loving this piece for many years to come!

I received my Ocean Beach portrait from Kori Steven's on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 and I could not be happier with this piece! I collected my own seashells along with a very special one from my cousin, Staci Lindner which is the dark grey one in the portrait, it's a perfect seashell. My dad and I always shared a special love for the beach so once I saw this I thought it would be perfect and IT IS!! I'm hanging this in my bedroom so he can watch over me while I sleep. I ordered 3 of these beautiful pieces and even though the one photo I currently have available to share doesn’t do them justice, they are even more gorgeous in person. I sent some sand from a beach trip with my family member who passed along with her ashes. I cried when I opened the package. Each one is slightly different but they are so pretty and colorful. They sparkle and the light catches different parts. Package arrived quickly and well secured. Would absolutely buy again.
