Heart-inspired cremation jewelry is a lovely way to symbolically and physically keep your loved ones close to your heart. Spirit Pieces is excited to release our new Petite Bezelled Heart Cremation Pendant with Cremation Ash.
For those unfamiliar, cremation jewelry holds a small amount of your loved ones ashes, person or pet, within so you can keep them always close. It's also a lovely way to remember their legacy, as it acts as a physical reminder of your loved ones physical presence.
Cremation jewelry comes in many different shapes and forms, what you choose can and should reflect what they meant to you and how you choose to remember them. We here at Spirit Pieces carry many lines of unique cremation jewelry, ranging from opal based jewelry (this heart being one of) to fingerprint jewelry.
Inspiration
This lovely pendant was conceived as a window the heart and soul of both the loved one being remembered. Petite in sized (under 15mm) it wears very light and barely can be felt on the skin. Made of .925 sterling silver, this heart pendant has a empty back, meaning it's especially translucent since sunlight can bounce back through it giving it an extra sparkling shimmer.
We believe given the size and the sparkle impact this is an especially good choice for our younger wearers. While pictured in purple and pinks, it can be made in any color so those who are particularly interested in a specific color mix can be provided for.
How this Cremation Jewelry Heart is Made
Since this is a hollow back, we put a piece of tape behind it so the resin we'll be using doesn't leak out. Once the tape is affixed, we apply a thin layer of UV activated resin mixed with colorful crushed opal. This is then dried using either direct sunlight or a UV lamp suitable for nail polish.
Once this layer is cured, we mix clear UV resin with small bits of cremation ash and transfer into the cremation jewelry. Another cycle of curing takes place. Finally, a drop or two of doming resin is used to seal in the cremation ash bearing layer and after a few more minutes of curing, this lovely cremation heart pendant is complete and ready to wear right then and there!
